5. Pawn Loans

All pawn loans are governed by Akron, Ohio law, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Regulation Z, and other applicable federal and state regulations.

Before you complete a pawn loan, we will provide a written pawn ticket or loan agreement that includes required disclosures, which may include:

5.2 Redemption and Forfeiture

• You may reclaim your pledged item by repaying the loan amount plus applicable interest and fees within the time period stated on your pawn ticket
• Loan extensions or renewals may be available as permitted by Akron, Ohio law — ask in store for details
• If you do not redeem your item within the applicable period, ownership of the pledged item may transfer to The Cash Spot as allowed by law
• Default on a pawn loan does not typically affect your credit score and does not result in debt collection for any deficiency, as permitted under applicable pawn laws

5.3 Collateral Storage

Pledged items are stored securely while your loan is active. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control (such as fire, flood, theft despite reasonable security, or natural disaster), except as required by applicable law.

5.4 Advertising of Loan Terms

Any rates, fees, or finance charges mentioned on our website or in advertising are examples or general descriptions only. Actual loan terms depend on the item, loan amount, and disclosures on your pawn ticket. If we advertise a specific finance charge or interest rate, we will also disclose the APR as prominently as required by TILA.

6. Buying and Selling Personal Property

When you sell items to The Cash Spot:

• You represent and warrant that you are the legal owner of the item or are authorized to sell it
• You represent that the item is not stolen and is free of undisclosed liens or security interests
• Sale is final once payment is made and accepted, unless otherwise required by law
• We may require identification and transaction records as required by Akron, Ohio law
• Offers are based on condition, market demand, and our appraisal — we are not obligated to purchase any item

When you buy items from us, title passes upon full payment and delivery, subject to applicable law and any in-store return policy posted at the time of sale.

7. Pre-Owned Retail Sales

Pre-owned items sold by The Cash Spot are generally sold “as is” unless a written warranty is expressly provided at the time of sale. We test electronics and describe items to the best of our ability, but we do not guarantee that pre-owned merchandise is free from all defects or that it will meet your specific expectations.
